Reposado

The initial aroma suggests a meeting of worlds between traditional tequila and lightly peated whiskey, characterized by a dance of smoke and pepper, accented with a subtle sweetness reminiscent of light caramel. This introduces a complex bouquet that hints at the tequila's depth.

As the tequila meets the palate, it unfolds a tapestry of flavors that balance custard-like agave sweetness with a vibrant peppery kick. Notes of mint weave through this landscape, adding freshness and complexity. The interplay of sweet and spicy elements is grounded by a comforting earthiness, creating a rich and rounded tasting experience.

The finish of Tequila Ocho Reposado extends the journey, with the smoky, peppery nuances picked up on the nose reasserting themselves. The silky texture carries through to the end, leaving a lasting impression of well-integrated oak influence that subtly hints at vanilla and butterscotch. This luxurious conclusion serves as a fitting close to a tequila that proudly bears the marks of its agave origin and reposado character.

Tequila Ocho was created to explore and prove the concept of ‘terroir’ in tequila. Ocho only produces batches of tequila from single fields (ranchos) for each vintage. Each tequila vintage from Ocho is a taste of time and place. The vintage year and field name are printed on every label. each estate, or ‘rancho,’ produces a limited amount of agave making each vintage of Ocho both rare and collectable due to the nuances between each harvest.
