Tequila Ocho was created to explore and prove the concept of ‘terroir’ in tequila. Ocho only produces batches of tequila from single fields (ranchos) for each vintage. Each tequila vintage from Ocho is a taste of time and place. The vintage year and field name are printed on every label. each estate, or ‘rancho,’ produces a limited amount of agave making each vintage of Ocho both rare and collectable due to the nuances between each harvest.
Gently aged for 3 years in ex-American oak whiskey barrels, creating a slightly darker amber colour.
Nose:
Notes of sweet cooked agave, toffee and black pepper that are balanced with vanilla.
Palate:
Complex cooked agave notes with oak, anise and dried fruits.
Finish:
Deep and long-lasting peppery and anise seed finish.
