Teeling Whiskey is an innovative Irish whiskey brand with a rich heritage rooted in Dublin's historic distilling district. Founded by the Teeling family, whose distilling history dates back to 1782, the modern Teeling Whiskey Company was established in 2012 by brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling. The brand is particularly notable for re-establishing the Teeling distillery in Dublin's Liberties area in 2015, marking the first new distillery in the city in over 125 years.
Teeling Small Batch Whiskey is crafted using a blend of grain and malt whiskies, which have initially aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. The whiskey is then married in Central American rum casks for up to 12 months, creating a distinctive dried fruit profile. This process enriches the whiskey with deep flavors and a complex profile that includes floral and herbal notes, creamy vanilla sweetness, hints of dried fruits like raisin and apricot, along with a warming spice that carries through to a long, oaky finish.
