Stolichnaya, often referred to as Stoli, is a historic vodka brand with origins in the early 20th century, trademarked in 1938 in the Soviet Union. It's produced from a combination of wheat and rye grains. Initially controlled by the state, it was made at Moscow State Wine Warehouse No. 1. The production and control of the brand have seen significant changes, particularly post-Soviet Union dissolution when it was privatized and became part of the SPI Group, owned by Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler.
Stolichnaya Cucumber Vodka, known as Stoli Cucumber, offers a unique and refreshing flavor profile, perfect for creating light and crisp cocktails.
Nose:
The aroma is characterized by English cucumber and watermelon rind, which provides a fresh and crisp start. There are also subtle hints of cellophane-wrapped banana bread and roasted peanut skin, adding complexity to the bouquet.
Palate:
The flavor is clean and crisp on the palate, bursting with savory cucumber and complemented by an undertone of spun sugar and sweet potato. This combination creates a naturally fresh and vibrant taste, capturing the essence of cucumber with a slight vegetal depth.
Finish:
The finish imparts touches of cucumber lemon water and spiced watermelon, providing a breezy and refreshing end. It's light and slightly dry, which makes it ideal for a clean and crisp drinking experience.
