Shackleton Whisky is a blended malt Scotch inspired by the legendary polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. Master Blender Richard Paterson used a recreated formula of the antique Mackinlay's malt whisky, which Shackleton himself had brought on his 1907 Antarctic expedition, as the foundation for this spirit. The blend includes fine Highland malt whiskies, aiming to capture the bold, robust nature of the original storied spirit. Shackleton Whisky is celebrated for embodying the spirit of adventure, and it has been positioned as a tribute to endurance and courage.
Shackleton Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is inspired by the historic Antarctic expeditions, offering a flavour profile rich with the spirit of adventure. The nose opens with a sweet blend of fruits and spices, complemented by smoky and menthol nuances and a subtle hint of peat, reminiscent of complex, aged whiskies. The palate is bold and rich, highlighted by honeyed sweetness and malty notes, alongside orchard fruits and warm spices such as cinnamon and vanilla, balanced against a backdrop of dry oak and aniseed. This makes for a smooth, easy-drinking experience that gains additional richness when water is added. The finish is long and satisfying, marked by lingering sweetness and a flourish of orange blossom, ensuring a memorable and lasting impression.

It starts with a sweet balance of fruit and spices, accented by a touch of smoke and menthol.

The palate is rich and bold, featuring honey sweetness and malt which merge with notes of orchard fruits.
