Merlot 43 Grappa

Grappa Nonino Merlot 43 presents a beautifully clear and enticing aroma marked by notes of rose petals and cherry stones. This fresh bouquet is reminiscent of the fragrance during must pressing, suggesting a vibrant and fragrant start.

On the palate, this grappa is soft and round, offering a harmonious blend of the same floral and fruity elements noted in its aroma. The taste carries a subtlety that complements its smooth texture, making it a pleasure to sip.

The finish of Grappa Nonino Merlot 43 is likely as elegant as its initial taste, rounding out the tasting experience with a clean and pleasing aftertaste that reflects its artisanal distillation process.

In 1973, Nonino became the first company to produce a commercial grappa from a single grape variety by creating a liquor using only the Picolit grape. In 1984, the company produced the first whole-grape distillate, which they marketed as Ue. Nonino also founded the International Nonino Prize literary prize.
