In 1973, Nonino became the first company to produce a commercial grappa from a single grape variety by creating a liquor using only the Picolit grape. In 1984, the company produced the first whole-grape distillate, which they marketed as Ue. Nonino also founded the International Nonino Prize literary prize.
Batch with head and tail cutting, in particular and exclusive copper steam stills renewed by Benito Nonino. Distillation takes place very slowly di give volatile components, responsible for the fragrances, e correct evaporation and consequent condensation preserving unchanged the precious organoleptic characteristics of the vine variety chosen.
Nose:
Floral notes, with hints of white flowers and blossom from the Chardonnay grape.
Palate:
Smooth and velvety texture on the palate.
Finish:
Fruity and floral notes persisting in the aftertaste, with perhaps a hint of vanilla or spice if aged in wood barrels.
