Single Malt Scotch Whisky 18 Years of Age

The aroma offers a rich blend of sweet sherry, oak, and honey, with notes of fresh carrots, pepper, and cinnamon. These elements create a layered and inviting bouquet.

On the palate, Glenlivet 18 is described as delicious, featuring a tapestry of sweet caramel and honey at the forefront, followed by malt, pears, figs, vanilla, and cherries. The sherry influence is subtle yet present, enriching the flavor without overwhelming it.

The finish is characterized by ginger and dried apples alongside oak and some tannins, with more of the sherry coming through. It leaves a lasting impression of elegance and depth.

The Glenlivet is one of the most famous names in the Scotch whisky industry, renowned for its high-quality single malt whiskies. The distillery was founded by George Smith in the early 19th century in the Speyside region of Scotland. Smith was among the first to obtain a legal distilling license in 1824, following the Excise Act of 1823, which made it easier for distillers in Scotland to operate legally and profitably.
