Mediterranean Gin

The aroma of Gin Mare prominently features Mediterranean botanicals, giving it a herbal character. Scents of rosemary and basil are forward, mixed with the crispness of olive and underpinned by a juniper backbone. This blend creates an evocative and clean scent profile that immediately brings to mind the Mediterranean landscape.

On the palate, Gin Mare is described as vibrant and rich, marked by its herbaceous and botanical variety. The juniper is balanced with notable flavors of thyme, and the zestiness of citrus fruits adds a bright and dynamic complexity. The distinct taste of arbequina olives imparts a unique, slightly oily texture, enhancing the gin's smoothness and depth.

The finish of Gin Mare is long and clean, where the herbaceous elements mingle with a peppery and slightly ginger spice, leaving a lasting impression that is both refreshing and complex.

Gin Mare is a distinctly Mediterranean gin, deeply rooted in its regional influences from the small Spanish town of Vilanova, just outside Barcelona. The gin is produced at Distilerias Miquel Guanse. It stands out due to its use of regional botanicals like rosemary, thyme, olive, and basil, which imbue it with a flavor profile that's evocative of the Mediterranean landscape.
