The Deanston distillery sits on the banks of the River Teith, the river which acts as the distillery's water source. The waters of the River Teith are among Scotland’s purest and the headwaters rise in the Trossach mountain range. Deanston was founded in 1965 on the site of an 18th century weaving shed, just outside the village of Doune in Perthshire.
The 18-Year-Old expression highlights how beautifully a single malt can develop in these conditions. Initially aged for 16 years in traditional oak whisky casks, this whisky was carefully chosen by Deanston’s Senior Blender, Dr Kirstie McCallum, for an additional two-year finish in newly acquired ex-Bourbon casks. The result is a smooth, aromatic dram that complements Deanston’s hallmark honeyed fruit profile, delivering a rich, refined whisky experience.
