Aperitifs based on wine and 100% Piedmontese bubbles: Cocchi has been producing vermouth and traditional Asti sparkling wines since 1891. From the founder Giulio Cocchi the winery has also inherited an inexhaustible liveliness and a qualitative research that leads it to be known and appreciated on five continents. All Cocchi products are based on wine and the recipes are those of the past, codified on the basis of the intuitions of Giulio Cocchi himself.
The wine at its heart comes from local Cortese grapes (same grape used for Gavi DOCG), which is then married with lemon peels and Piedmontese mint as well as botanicals such as wormwood, angelica, coriander and cardamom for a fragrant and perfectly balanced character. Cocchi Extra Dry is an extremely elegant stand-alone vermouth with fresh apple, melon and white flower notes from the wine, beautifully balanced with the aromatic botanical notes of cardamom, wormwood, coriander and angelica. The Piedmontese mint and lemon peels bring herbaceous notes and brightness to the palate, creating a unique personality.
Nose:
The aroma is characterized by fresh green apple and white flower scents, complemented by subtle hints of lemon peel and peppermint, creating a zesty and invigorating bouquet.
Palate:
On the palate, it is zippy and remarkably light, with mouthwatering lemon peel and the barest hints of fresh herbs and peppermint on the super-clean, brisk exhale.
Finish:
The finish is clean and brisk, with the citrus zest and herbal notes lingering pleasantly, making it an excellent choice for classic cocktails or as a standalone aperitif.
