Aperitifs based on wine and 100% Piedmontese bubbles: Cocchi has been producing vermouth and traditional Asti sparkling wines since 1891. From the founder Giulio Cocchi the winery has also inherited an inexhaustible liveliness and a qualitative research that leads it to be known and appreciated on five continents. All Cocchi products are based on wine and the recipes are those of the past, codified on the basis of the intuitions of Giulio Cocchi himself.

Vermouth Amaro Cocchi has been created according to the original recipe by Giulio Cocchi where Artemisia was enriched with rhubarb, quassia wood, chiretta and a double infusion of cinchona. The addition of Barolo Chinato to the base wine gives delicately red nuances and a further soft and complex note – totally Cocchi style

Nose:

Rich, sweet, and fruity aromas dominate, with maraschino cherries and plump raisins leading the profile. These are complemented by burnt caramel, green twigs, and pungent herbal notes, all covered in a jammy sweetness.

Palate:

The palate reveals a sweetness that surpasses the initial aromatic impression, showcasing rich fruit flavours such as baked apples with raisins, fruit cake, and intense brown sugar. These sweet notes are balanced by darker, earthier elements like tree bark, damp soil, and spices including ginger, nutmeg, and a subtle hint of clove.

Finish:

The finish is enduring, with the initial fruity sweetness slowly transitioning to darker and more bitter undertones, leaving a well-balanced aftertaste.
