The story of Beefeater begins in 1863 when pharmacist James Burrough purchased the Chelsea Distillery in London for £400. By 1876, he had developed the recipe for Beefeater Gin, a bold, juniper-forward spirit that quickly became the flagship product of his company. The name "Beefeater" pays homage to the Yeoman Warders—popularly known as Beefeaters—who guard the Tower of London, symbolizing the gin's deep-rooted connection to British heritage.
Beefeater London Dry Gin presents a clear appearance with a crisp and clean profile. The nose is dominated by pine-forward juniper, complemented by bright citrus zest, subtle floral hints, and a touch of sweet licorice. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of lemon zest and robust juniper, evolving into earthy notes of coriander and licorice. The finish is medium in length, featuring freshly ground coriander, lemon zest, and a lingering pine-tinged warmth.
