At Aberlour we believe in substance over style. Our whisky is born out of craft, passion and knowledge that's been handed down through generations. Our story is of community, locally sourced ingredients and families of craftsmen who have shaped us into who we are today. We believe our whisky, with its depth of flavour and character, speaks for itself. Aberlour is generally double-cask matured in Oloroso Sherry casks and American Oak barrels before being brought together when mature and ready to make the final product. The maturation process ads new flavour notes and characteristics which mature over time to create our recognisably rich and complex Speyside single malt.
Aberlour A'bunadh is renowned for its bold and indulgent profile, matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks. The whisky presents a deep, rich amber colour. Its aroma is a luxurious blend of mixed spices, praline, and spiced orange, beautifully layered with profound Oloroso Sherry notes. On the palate, Aberlour A'bunadh unfolds with flavours of orange, black cherries, and a medley of dried fruits including fig and raisin, all enveloped in dark chocolate and intensified by the richness of sherry and oak. The finish is robust and lingering, marked by a complex interplay of bitter-sweet spices, dark chocolate, and oak. This profile makes it a quintessential "sherry bomb," offering a creamy, full-bodied texture and a warming, spicy finish that is both luxurious and intensely satisfying.
