Jean Engelbrecht along with his friends Dillie Malherbe and Jannie Durand set out to create a wine that would not only embody all that is Stellenbosch but that would also pay homage to this great town at the heart of the Cape winelands. Each wine in this range pays tribute to an historical landmark in Stellenbosch.
Description
A medium- to full-bodied Syrah with a savoury, spice-driven profile. Aromas of dark berries and ripe plum are layered with black pepper, subtle smoked meat and earthy undertones. The palate is structured yet approachable, showing fine-grained tannins, balanced acidity and a dry, persistent finish with gentle spice and dark fruit depth.
Food Pairing
Well suited to grilled meats, lamb, pepper-crusted beef and hearty stews. The wine’s spice and savoury character also pair well with braised dishes and roasted vegetables.
