Jean Engelbrecht along with his friends Dillie Malherbe and Jannie Durand set out to create a wine that would not only embody all that is Stellenbosch but that would also pay homage to this great town at the heart of the Cape winelands. Each wine in this range pays tribute to an historical landmark in Stellenbosch.
Description
A poised, modern Chardonnay with a fresh yet textured profile. Aromas of ripe citrus and stone fruit are complemented by subtle notes of yellow apple and gentle oak nuance. The palate is medium bodied with balanced acidity, creamy mid-palate texture and a clean, focused finish that reflects a restrained, food-friendly style rather than overt richness.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with roast chicken, grilled fish, creamy pasta dishes and lightly spiced seafood. The balanced structure allows it to complement both delicate and moderately rich dishes.
