Colour: Light straw with light green rim. Nose: Enticing varietal aromatics include perfumed bath salts and florals, are overlayed with candied lime zest and hints of fennel. The faintest suggestion of curry spice/leaf emerges with a swirl. Gorgeously fresh and zesty. Palate: Very fresh and limey, Kaffir juice with Tahitian lime curd. A delicious note of exotic Thai basil/mint. The finish is soft and nicely framed by refreshing, chalky acid.

Vintage 2022 shared many of the hallmarks of the very strong 2021 vintage. The winter rainfall was healthy, the La Niña conditions favoured South Australia. Spring temperatures were generally cooler than average with good rainfall. Conditions were optimal for budburst and fruit set with only a few isolated frost incidents. The mild weather prevailed over summer, resulting in a long slow growing season and leisurely harvest, the latest in ten years for the Clare Valley. These conditions were very conducive to growing quality grapes with strong varietal characteristics and bracing natural acidity.
