Glen Carlou is a Simonsberg-Paarl wine estate known for Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and classic South African red blends. With vineyards rooted in granite, quartz and koffieklip soils, the estate produces wines shaped by site, structure and a long-standing focus on balance.
Description
“Cabernet Sauvignon’s vibrant red fruit and cassis combines with Cabernet Franc’s tobacco leaf and bell pepper set against the backdrop of Merlot’s soft plum and vanilla spice frame. Explosive evolving aromas of ripe black berries, plush red fruit and cedarwood develop in the glass. The full bodied and complex palate is brimming with dark fruit and peppermint chocolate, alongside of integrated tannins and a luxuriant finish.
