Currently, in their fourth generation, the Graaff’s can be attributed many successes, including supplying electricity to the city of Cape Town for the first time, building the biggest refrigeration company in the early 1900s called Imperial Cold Storage, the 1st Baronet was even the mayor of Cape Town at the age of 32. Description
The De Grendel Cap Classique Brut 2023 dazzles with pale gold hues and a fine, persistent mousse. Aromas of citrus zest, green apple and delicate florals are layered with notes of toasted brioche and almond. On the palate it shows vibrant, crisp lemon and white peach, complemented by a creamy texture and refined mousse. A bright acidity lends freshness and structure, balancing fruit purity with autolytic richness. The finish is long and clean, leaving elegant citrus and biscuit nuances, making for a poised and expressive Cap Classique.
