Capensis
Capensis is a family of three wines dedicated exclusively to Chardonnay. The name Capensis is taken from the Latin word meaning,“from the Cape,” and pays homage to its home in the Western Cape of South Africa, one of the oldest winemaking regions in the world Ancient geology and dramatic landscape form the foundation for Capensis, which celebrates the diverse and remarkable winegrowing potential of the Western Cape.
Description
The 2019 Capensis Western Cape Chardonnay is a culmination of eight remarkable vineyards – a balanced, layered, and complex translation of the region’s varied terroir. Tangerine marmalade and Fuji apple aromatics lead you to a rich, mineral palate lifted by lime citrus and bright salinity. While drinking beautifully now, this world-class Chardonnay will gain ever more complexity in your cellar.
Food Pairing
This wine would pair well with all kinds of seafood, chicken or turkey, especially dishes with a cream sauce.
