Alphabetical
Alphabetical is an independent South African wine producer. Rather than own land we work with farms usually owned or managed by close friends parternships that are key to our success. We have as much hands-on involvement wherever possible whether it be chucking grapes into the press and sorting berries at harvest pouring at a dinner or personally delivering wine to keep customers happy. The operation is run by David Cope who has been working with wine since 2004 and has an irreducible passion for the industry its people and the more interesting wines created around the world. And of course the other great things that go along with that: food travel more food more travel… Other brands we produce to look out for include The Hedonist (SA) Dirty Julie and Full Moon.
Description
A more complex rosé offering – aged 12 months in old 300L French oak barrels to add a finesse and structure that lacks so often in rosé. Made from Mourvedre and Cinsault grown in Darling, the wine is light in colour but provides unexpected character and flavour. Not just a summer porch pounder, this is the drink-me-all-year-round rosé!
Food Pairing
The subtly of flavour makes it a perfect first-wine of theday, but it also pairs superbly with roast poultry, charcuterie and harder cheeses.
