Specifications:

14.00% alc vol Sugar g/l: N/A
Type: Red Wine, Red Blend Maturation Potential: 10 yrs+
Origin: Eden Valley, Barossa Valley Appellation: Eden Valley, Barossa Valley

Winemaker's comments:

A seductively aromatic wine, this is one of the very best Signatures. Opening with very cool, bright and almost fresh menthol aromas that merge with red currant fruits, tobacco leafy notes and cedary spices all supported with fine violet and cherry florals. With classic Signature structure showing brightness of fruit that compliments the mid palate richness and texture, a perfectly balanced wine with acidity and fine mouth coating tannins. Long and persistent, the wine combines concentration, elegance and fruit purity.

Cultivar:

Grenache, Mataro, Alicante Bouschet

Specifications:

12.40% alc vol Sugar g/l: N/A
Type: Red Blend, Red Wine Maturation Potential: 5 yrs+
Origin: Barossa Valley Appellation: Barossa Valley

Winemaker's comments:

Each vintage when we make our Alicante Bouchet Rosè the skins are not used, so to preserve the Barossa tradition of frugality, we save these skins to co-ferment with early picked Grenache and Mataro. The addition of the Alicante skins to the ferment gives tannin, spice and a vibrant colour to the wine. Light bodied and low in alcohol.

Cultivar:

92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot and Merlot

Rating:

93 Points - James Suckling 93 Points - Wine Enthusiast

Specifications:

14.50% alc vol Sugar g/l: 0.5
Type: Red Wine Maturation Potential: 8 to 10 yrs
Origin: Western Australia Appellation: Margaret River

Winemaker's comments:

Medium deep ruby red in color. Restrained but deep, complex perfumes of blue-black small berry fruit, floral potpourri, river stone, orange pith, dry jarrah twigs and hints of venison, dried mushroom, and choc mocha. A smooth plush entry leads into juicy mouth-watering acidity and following is a blanket of fine powdery cuddly tannin, drying but not overpowering. Flavours reminiscent of blackcurrant, nori and toasty cedar remain. A ripe, soft tannin vintage with savoury expression.

Cultivar:

100% Petit Verdot

Specifications:

13.50% alc vol Sugar g/l: 0.2
Type: Red Wine Maturation Potential: 10 yrs+
Origin: South Australia Appellation: Riverland

Winemaker's comments:

The wine has a deep colour, dark berry fruit on the nose that is ripe and intense with ink and violets. Ripe, fleshy fruit on the palate is nicely supported by rustic tannins.

Cultivar:

100% Shiraz

Specifications:

13.00% alc vol Sugar g/l: N/A
Type: Red Wine Maturation Potential: 10 yrs+
Origin: Central Victoria Appellation: Heathcote

Winemaker's comments:

Elegant structure, restraint and balance are the hallmarks of this Syrah that shows wild red berries, ink and crushed fresh herbs on the nose with a hint of graphite typical of the region. Textured raspberry and blackberry that is more Pinot Noir than Syrah greets you on the palate along with a sublime ultra-fine tannin structure.

Cultivar:

100% Pinot Noir

Rating:

92 Points - James Suckling

Specifications:

14.10% alc vol Sugar g/l: N/A
Type: Red Wine Maturation Potential: 10 yrs+
Origin: Tasmania Appellation: Pipers River

Winemaker's comments:

A brilliant purple-red colour that shines in the glass. Aromas of violets, crushed boysenberry and blackberry with hints of roasted cinnamon, clove and green pepper. A balanced mid palate leads to a fine tannin finish with spices and length supported by French oak. Although fresh and appealing in its youth, the 2015 will reward cool cellaring for 8-12 years for those looking to enjoy the full complexity of fine Pinot Noir over time.
