Between two mighty oceans, on the southern tip of Africa, lies the historic Saxenburg Wine Farm. Here, memory and the seasons conspire with the cellarmaster’s craft to produce unique wines of consistent and exceptional quality. For centuries wayfarers bound for the East Indies found hospitality and relief at the Fairest Cape. At Saxenburg we extend this tradition and invite you to visit our world.

Trellised, single irrigation per annum, heavy ‘vendange Verte’ for low crop, and uniform ripeness early in season.

Harvesting at optimum ripeness, and open fermentation with yeast culture at 28°C. Punching down and pump overs three times daily. No skin contact after fermentation. Pressed early with no skin contact.

French Oak 300L Barrels. 20 % New.

Food pairing

Best enjoyed with red meat and game dishes: Ostrich, Springbok, Kudu, Beef and Karoo Lamb.
