Franco Lourens is the assistant winemaker at Alheit Family Wines in Walker Bay. This is his own label made from fruit sourced around the Western Cape.

This wine was made from a single vineyard that was planted in 1977 on the farm Contermanskloof situated in the Durbanville Ward of Cape Town Distrcit. The vineyard consists of dry land bush vines, planted in dark decomposed shale soils situated roughly 10km from the Atlantic Ocean. This vineyard is passionately farmed by Robert HL Starke.

No yeast, acid, enzymes of fining agents added.

Food pairing

This wine is enjoyed just on its own or paired with poultry and fish dishes.
