Tasting Notes:

This is a soft, aromatic and ripe wine. It wears its high alcohol lightly, showing off good acidity as well as rich strawberry flavors. An attractive touch of spice mingles with the final crisp acidity.

How does a rosé elude boundaries between being a superb aperitif rosé and a fine wine that enjoys the versatility of being successfully paired with a broad range of fine cuisine? Château d’esclans Rock Angel… the highly eligible wine, if you serve it they will come.

Grapes grown form of the most choice land in the surrounding region of La Motte en Provence, consisting primarily of Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino). Harvesting at sunrise to noon.

The grapes which are used to make Rock Angel are sorted optically. Destemming and slight crushing at 7-8 C to avoid oxidation. Free run juice and first slight pressing. No maceration.

Both free run juice and pressed juice partially vinified in demi-muids (600L barrels) and stainless steel, both temperature controlled.
