Rose loves gin but first and foremost is a fynbos gardener. She has spent years cultivating fynbos in her nursery on Bartinney Wine Estate and has been dabbling in small batch gin recipes until she found the perfect one for each of the seasons. Bartinney is a WWF Conservation Champion and all the botanicals that are harvested are done so sustainably to keep the biodiversity of the farm alive. A tempest is a violent storm and The Cape of Storms (which Cape Town was always known by) has shaped the environment that grows the bountiful fynbos botanicals that sculpt the uniqueness of the Tempest Gin.

Each season has a unique smell that echoes the season.

There is a creamy, fullness on the palate which is from using 100% grape spirit.
